Here’s what some of our graduates have to say about the Department of Global Gender Studies:

"I am very grateful to my experiences in Global Gender Studies (then Women's Studies) at UB.  Being able to truly explore interdisciplinarity by taking courses in Women's Studies, American Studies, Native American Studies, History, and Law helped prepare me to do work that integrates these different disciplines and also gave me a  broad body of knowledge of race, gender, and sexuality that has helped me both in the classroom and  in my own research.  This focus on interdisciplinary studies is something that many programs aspire to but Global Gender Studies at UB is already there, and I am indebted to this program for the impact of its approach on my own education."

Jessica Nathanson (Chair of the Women's Studies Program at Augsburg College)

"Education at UB's Global Gender Studies Department leaves you well-positioned for careers, whether in academia, teaching, cultural work, creative arts, or social justice. I have stayed in contact with many graduates from the Global Gender Studies Department, and we have gone on to become professors, direct Women's Resource Centers, teach in various fields in K-12 and the community, develop and lead international artists' groups, and perform social justice work."

Jennifer C. Rossi (Assistant Professor of American Studies Department at St. John Fisher College)
