Barbara Wejnert has recently published a number of monographs and edited volumes.  Her work includes Safe Motherhood in a Globalized World, which she edited with Dr. Steinmetz and Dr. Prakash and contains chapters by Dr. Wejnert, a chapter co-authored by Dr. Wejnert and recent Ph.D. graduate Dr. Kathleen Cimasi, and chapters by Visiting Faculty professors, Dr. Ram Alagan and Dr. Sella Aladuwaka, and past Visiting Faculty and Soros Scholar, Tamar Dagargulia. Also edited with Dr. Prakash was Women Empowerment through Science & Technology that addresses the timing issue of using modern technology to empower women in developed and developing countries. Finally, Dr. Wejnert has published Global Gender Reflections: Progress or Regress, the first book in a planned series.

Gwynn Thomas presented on her research on Chilean President Michelle Bachelet at the Latin American Studies’ Association’s International Congress in June in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in June.
