Department Highlights
Barbara Bono Incoming Chair:
The Department of Global Gender Studies is thrilled to welcome Dr. Barbara Bono as our incoming Chair. Dr. Bono is an Associate Professor in the Department of English and a long-term supporter of the Department.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Ram Alagan and Dr. Seela Aladuwaka are continuing as Visiting Professors for the Department for 2009/2010.
The Department also welcomes the incoming graduate class of 2009. The class continues the Department’s tradition of diversity with students hailing from, among other places, Tajikistan, Tanzania, and New York.
Renowned Feminist Scholars to give workshop:
The Department will be hosting internationally know feminist scholars, Dr. Chandra Mohanty and Dr. M. Jacque Alexander on October 23 and 24. Dr. Mohanty and Dr. Alexander will be particularly involved in workshops and roundtables on their work with our graduate students. Please contact the department for further information.
