Women and Global Citizenship Cluster
This area exposes students to key areas of research and knowledge: the regional transnational mobilizations of women's labor, the alignment of women's movements with new postcolonial histories, international organizations, human disaster, international migration, world-wide democratization and gender, contemporary globalization and gender issues, and environmental issues. Students study individual's lives in the United States, East Asia, the Latin America, and Africa and participate in our research agenda, which incorporates labor struggles, immigration, and women's engagement in national and transnational movements.
